Mr. Gilberto Martins
Mr. Gilberto Martins began his career in 1984 with the establishment of Gilberto Martins and Associates, an architecture and construction company. He has held several leadership positions in government departments, including Director of Physical Resource Planning and Infrastructure Development at the Gauteng Department of Education, Deputy Director General at the Gauteng Department of Public Roads, Transport and Works, and Chief Operations Officer at the Department of Transport and the Road Traffic Management Corporation.
Martins is registered with the South African Council of Architects and the Institute of South African Architects. He received the Order of Merit from the President of Portugal for his contributions to South African communities. Martins holds a National Diploma in Architectural Technician, a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, a Diploma in Project Management, and a BA Honours in Politics, and is currently pursuing a Master in Law from the University of Cape Town.
